Animal shelters throughout Tennessee have the opportunity to apply for grants to support spay and neuter services. The Animal Friendly Grants Program, overseen by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Animal Health Division, is funded by the sales of specialty license plates promoting the message “Spay and Neuter Saves Lives.” Each $35 license plate purchase contributes to these grants, which are open to both government-operated shelters and non-profit organizations in Tennessee that provide affordable spaying and neutering services. Interested parties can submit their applications until May 17th.
