Shirley Dimple Chambers King

Shirley Dimple Chambers King, 79, of Lexington, AL, passed away on October 18, 2025, at her home. She was a retired supervisor from Seasons 2 and was of the Baptist faith. Shirley was known for her loving and welcoming nature, never meeting a stranger. She enjoyed playing games with her family, thrift shopping, and was a devoted fan of Alabama Football, always eager to share her “Roll Tide” spirit.

Shirley is survived by her son, Larry Glenn King and wife Nancy “Stell” of Lexington, AL; grandson, Dusty King and wife Ella of St. Florian, AL; sister, Snow Howard of Rogersville, AL; and brother-in-law, Ronnie King and wife Betty Jo of Lexington, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Lillie Mae Wilson Chambers; husband, Larry Earnest King; daughter, Libby Jan Head; granddaughter, Baylee Nicole Head; sisters, Betty Stark and Dorothy Foust; brothers, James Chambers and Dewey Chambers; and parents-in-law, Arnold “Bud” and Elizabeth King.

Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with Jeff Cruse and Ethan Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Colt Balentine, Kerry Lash, Chris Bolen, Brian Bolen, Anthony Foust, and Wallace Tucker, with Ronnie King serving as an honorary pallbearer.

A special thank you was extended to her sister-in-law, Betty Jo King, her caregiver Susie Richardson, and the Nurses and Staff of Hospice of North Alabama, including Tara Tucker, Lisa Chandler, Daniel Freemon, and Gracie Berryman.

Shirley will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
