Recent data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development indicates that the rise in unemployment rates across various counties during June can largely be linked to seasonal employment fluctuations, particularly those associated with school breaks. The statistics for June reveal that every one of the state’s 95 counties experienced an uptick in their unemployment rates. Notably, Sevier and Williamson Counties reported the lowest unemployment figures, each at 2.7%. In contrast, Bledsoe County recorded the highest unemployment rate in the state, standing at 5.8%.
