STRHS-Lawrenceburg Member Honored with 2025 Mercy Award

The Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, located in Lawrenceburg, has proudly named Lisa Robertson as the recipient of the prestigious 2025 Mercy Award. This annual accolade, established in 2002, serves to commemorate the legacy of Scott Mercy, the founding chairman and CEO of LifePoint. It is widely regarded as the highest honor that can be bestowed upon an employee within the LifePoint Health network.

The Mercy Award is designed to recognize one exemplary employee from each of LifePoint Health’s facilities, celebrating those who have made a significant impact on the lives of others while embodying the core values and spirit that the organization was built upon. Lisa Robertson, who has dedicated three decades to the local hospital and has progressed from a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to a Case Manager, exemplifies these foundational principles.

Recently, Robertson demonstrated her unwavering commitment to patient care by going above and beyond for an individual who was grieving the loss of her daughter while also recovering from a fractured hip. With no family nearby to assist, Robertson took it upon herself to organize the funeral arrangements, navigate insurance matters, ensure the patient’s pets were fed and cared for daily, and manage housekeeping tasks. Her compassionate actions truly reflect the essence of what the Mercy Award stands for.

As the recipient of this honor, Robertson will join other hospital winners in vying for LifePoint’s corporate Mercy Award in 2025. All honorees, including Robertson, are invited to attend a ceremony in Nashville this coming October, where the overall winner will be celebrated following an announcement made this summer.
