Southern Tennessee Regional Health System (STRHS) – Lawrenceburg has received notable recognition from the Tennessee Hospital Association, being awarded the prestigious Zero Harm Award for the year 2024. This accolade highlights the hospital’s remarkable achievement of reporting no healthcare-associated infections during the year.
Among the hospitals in Tennessee, STRHS – Lawrenceburg stands out as one of only 16 facilities to successfully report zero cases in four critical infection categories. These categories include Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections, Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections, Clostridium difficile infections, and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
This achievement marks the second consecutive year that STRHS – Lawrenceburg has been honored with this award, underscoring its commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety. The Zero Harm Awards are presented each year by the Tennessee Center for Patient Safety, which aims to acknowledge hospitals throughout the state that foster a culture of safety and effectively prevent serious healthcare-associated infections.
