Subject Wanted by Authorities Arrested in Lawrence County Earlier this Month

In a recent incident in Lawrence County, a wanted individual was apprehended by deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office earlier this month. Reports indicate that on April 5th, law enforcement officers observed a white four-door sedan refueling at the Shell station situated at the intersection of West Point and West Gaines. Upon closer inspection, they noticed that the male driver seemed to be under the influence of something.

To get a better look, the deputies circled around the area and were able to positively identify the individual as Jamie Lowery. A check revealed that Lowery had active warrants for aggravated assault in Hardin County, as well as existing warrants in Lawrence County. Additionally, there was an unserved order of protection against him, with his girlfriend listed as the protected party.

Law enforcement officers made contact with Lowery’s vehicle on West Point Road, but he accelerated well above the speed limit. A pursuit ensued, with Lowery evading the deputies down Collinwood Highway and California Brand Road in Wayne County. Eventually, he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Lowery was eventually captured by a creek bank and taken into custody.

It was also discovered that Lowery had warrants out of Wayne County. The arrest marked the culmination of a series of events that unfolded across multiple counties, ultimately resulting in the apprehension of the wanted subject.
