Starting this week, the Lewis County Schools Food Service Department is launching a new initiative to provide free meals to children aged 18 and under. The program will be held at the elementary school cafeteria, offering parents a convenient drive-thru option to pick up breakfast and lunch for their students. This service will be available from 10 AM to 1 PM, Monday through Friday, until the program concludes on June 28th.
Families interested in participating can simply drive up to the designated area at the elementary school and collect the meals for their children. This initiative aims to ensure that students have access to nutritious meals during the week, even outside of regular school hours.
For any inquiries or additional information about the program, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the Lewis County Schools Food Service Department at (931) 796-3486. This effort underscores the commitment of the school district to support the well-being of its students and the community as a whole.
