Support Services Accessible for Survivors of Domestic Violence

As October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Huntsville Police Department is taking the opportunity to remind individuals affected by domestic violence that support is readily accessible. In collaboration with Crisis Services of North Alabama, the department offers a range of essential services, including emergency shelter and counseling, specifically designed to assist victims of domestic violence.

Additionally, the Huntsville Police Department has trained Domestic Violence Responders who accompany officers during calls to provide immediate resources and support on the scene. This initiative aims to ensure that victims receive the help they need in a timely manner. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, the department encourages you to reach out by calling 256-716-1000 for support.
