Sybil Irene White, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, in her hometown of Lawrenceburg, TN. Born on June 7, 1934, in Lawrence County, TN, Sybil’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her dedication to her family, and her commitment to her work.
She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, William Allen and Beulah Mae Landtroop Ezell; her loving husband of over 56 years, Robert E. White; and her dear siblings, W. T. “Dudley” Ezell, Sue Troup, Dorothy Boston, and Betty Kidd.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her son, Steve White (Donna) of Lawrenceburg, TN; her adored grandsons, Zach White (Abie) of Nashville, TN, and Eli White (Halle) of Lawrenceburg, TN; her treasured great-grandson, Jack Henry White; and her brother, Jerry Ezell of Murfreesboro, TN. Sybil’s legacy will also live on through the many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
She retired from Murray Ohio. A devout Christian, Sybil was a long-standing member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. She served her church community with grace and humility, embodying the love and compassion that she believed were at the heart of her faith.
The honor of serving as pallbearers has been bestowed upon Ricky Ezell, Mickey Ezell, David Fleeman, Roger Troup, Jason Ezell, Terry Springer, and Darrell Boston, all of whom held a special bond with Sybil.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at Immanuel Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2025, with Reggie Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at New Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
