Tennessee State Parks Conservancy Launches Its 5th Annual Fundraising Campaign for Parks

Tennessee State Parks, in collaboration with the Tennessee State Parks Conservancy, is launching its fifth annual fundraising initiative, which will run until April 30, 2025. This year, the campaign introduces two additional avenues for supporters to contribute. As in previous years, individuals can express their support for their favorite parks by participating in the My TN State Park fundraiser. Each dollar donated to a specific park not only directly benefits that location but also counts as a vote in favor of it. The funds raised will be allocated to various projects and initiatives that have been identified by park staff.

In addition to the traditional voting method, donors have the opportunity to engage with two specific programs: Trail Pack and Kids in Parks. The Kids in Parks initiative aims to facilitate educational field trips for Title 1 public schools, providing transportation to nearby state parks. This program is designed to enhance students’ learning experiences in natural settings. Meanwhile, the Trail Pack program focuses on the preservation, enhancement, and expansion of trails throughout Tennessee’s state parks and natural areas.

Among the parks benefiting from this campaign is the well-loved David Crockett State Park, located in Lawrenceburg. Those interested in contributing to the improvement of local and state parks can visit the Tennessee State Parks Conservancy website to make their donations and support these vital initiatives.
