Tennessee State Parks Prepare for Mother’s Day Celebrations

In celebration of Mother’s Day, seven restaurants located within Tennessee State Parks are set to offer special dining experiences, while numerous other parks will host various events, some of which may not be directly tied to the holiday. For those looking to find the perfect gift, the parks also have a selection of items available for purchase online.

Among the restaurants participating in this festive occasion are Pickwick Landing in Counce, Henry Horton in Chapel Hill, David Crockett in Lawrenceburg, Montgomery Bell in Burns, Fall Creek Falls in Spencer, Cumberland Mountain in Crossville, and Paris Landing in Buchanan. At the David Crockett restaurant, mothers can indulge in a delightful buffet that showcases the best of Southern cuisine. Diners can expect to enjoy favorites such as country fried chicken breast, creamy macaroni and cheese, homemade banana pudding, and delectable pecan pie. It’s important to note that this dining experience operates on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning that reservations are not accepted, and the entire party must be present before being seated.

Meanwhile, the conference center at Henry Horton State Park is also preparing a special Mother’s Day meal. Guests can treat their mothers to a selection that includes coconut cloud cake, roasted corn salad, and comforting chicken pot pie. To add a festive touch, the restaurant will feature enticing cocktail specials, including Mommas Muscadine Mimosas and Bahama Mamas.

At Pickwick Landing Restaurant, the Mother’s Day buffet promises to be a delightful experience, offering classic dishes such as peach cobbler, macaroni and cheese, and smoked tenderloin. After enjoying a satisfying meal, families are encouraged to take a leisurely stroll around the lake with their mothers, making for a memorable day. As with the other locations, seating is assigned only when the full party is present, and no reservations are taken.
