He is survived by his brother Tony (Brenda) Oliver, sister Deanna (Barry) Gieske Tidwell, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Terry’s love for his hometown of Lexington, AL, was evident in everything he did. He graduated from Lexington High School in the bicentennial Class of ’76 and continued his education at Calhoun Community College. Throughout his life, Terry had a passion for sports, from playing on ball teams to coaching youth leagues and becoming a distance runner. He was a loyal Golden Bear fan and continued to follow sports long after his days of competing. Terry’s love for sports extended to coaching and supporting his great nieces and the Lady Bears’ final game of the season.
Terry’s kindness and humility touched the lives of many, and he was blessed with a circle of friends who he loved like family. His last days were made better by a special team of angels who pampered him like a king in his own home.
