Thomas Clinton Tankersley, 77, of Minor Hill, Tennessee, passed away on October 30, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a proud Vietnam veteran and retired from Delphi Automotive after many years of dedicated service. Thomas was a devoted member of the Booth Chapel Church of Christ, finding joy in fellowship and worship with his church family. He is survived by his daughters, Jinnie (Jeremy) Thornton and Vickie (Morris) Tidwell; his son, Ricky (Camille) Hicks; grandchildren, Benjamin, Priscilla, Meshon, Andrew, April, Brent, Alicia, Blake, Jaclyn, Jolee, and Jaycee; and his great-granddaughters, Elauna, Aowyn, Lorien, Nevaeh, Ruth, Josephine, Adelaide, and Eleanor. Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irma Dell Tankersley, his parents, Guy and Cennie Tankersley, and his sister, Elaine Tankersley. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. till service time at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
