Thomas “Tommy” Edwin Eaton, 89, of Nashville, TN, passed away on January 22nd, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Born on April 17th, 1935 in Huntsville, AL, to the late Walter Eaton and Lillian Marie Mincher Eaton, Tommy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for 35 years for the United States Postal Service and was a talented mechanic who enjoyed woodworking and playing music. Tommy is survived by his son, Brian Edwin Eaton, and his sister, Glenda Faye Eaton Bustamante, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaRue Anne Slagle Eaton, daughter, Karen Lynn Eaton Sadler, brother, Larry Wayne Eaton, and sister, Joyce Ann Eaton. Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is honored to be carrying out final arrangements.
