Three Agencies in Lawrence Receive Grant Funding

In a significant boost for public safety in Lawrence County, three local agencies have been granted funding through the Tennessee Highway Safety Office for the fiscal year 2025-26. The Ethridge Volunteer Fire Department is set to receive $11,575 specifically designated for the acquisition of vital extrication equipment, which will enhance their emergency response capabilities.

Additionally, the Lawrenceburg Police Department has been awarded $10,000 aimed at enhancing high visibility enforcement efforts, a move that is expected to improve community safety. Furthermore, the 22nd Judicial District Attorney General’s office has been allocated over $287,000 to support DUI prosecution initiatives, reinforcing the county’s commitment to combating impaired driving.

In total, the financial support for these initiatives amounts to nearly $309,000, reflecting a concerted effort to bolster safety measures across Lawrence County.
