Tommy Wesley Ray, a devoted family man and respected member of the Lawrence County community, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on November 11, 1952, to Walter Mitchell and Nina Lavada Brock Ray, Tommy’s life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his community.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Robbie Sue Ray, and their children, Justin Ray and Susan Ray. He was a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a source of guidance and joy to his siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Professionally, Tommy dedicated 42 years of his life to serving the people of Lawrence County as a Supervisor for the Lawrence County EMS and MooreCare. His commitment to his work and his integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and community members alike.
Tommy’s life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures and the value of hard work. He found contentment in the company of his loved ones and fulfillment in the service of others.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and in accordance with Tommy’s wishes, no services will be held. His family will honor his memory in private.
