Tragedy Strikes as Aircraft Crashes in Williamson County

Tragedy struck on Wednesday morning in Williamson County as a single-engine airplane crashed, claiming the lives of three individuals. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 12:40 PM near the intersection of Bending Chestnut Road and Davis Hollow Road in the southwest region of Williamson County, approximately 30 miles away from the Maury County line.

The aircraft involved in the crash was identified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a single-engine Beechcraft V35. Reportedly, the plane had departed from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was en route to Kentucky when the unfortunate accident took place.

In response to the crash, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will be dispatching officials to the scene today to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

As a result of the crash, Davis Hollow Road near 5600 and Bending Chestnut at Natchez Trace Road will remain closed to traffic throughout the day while authorities work diligently at the crash site.
