Tragic Boating Incident Claims Life of Arkansas Man in Clifton

Tragedy struck on Saturday when a 37-year-old man from Arkansas lost his life while enjoying a day on the Tennessee River near Clifton. Reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol indicate that the man was out on the water with friends when an unfortunate incident occurred, causing him to be ejected from the boat and into the river.

His companions acted quickly, managing to retrieve him from the water and transport him back to the boat. They then rushed to Clifton Marina, where emergency personnel were waiting. Despite the efforts to revive him and the application of lifesaving techniques, he was ultimately pronounced dead at the marina. This incident marks a somber milestone, as it represents the 23rd boating-related fatality on Tennessee’s waterways in the current year.
