Reports from WAFF indicate that the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) confirmed the accident took place at approximately 1:12 p.m. on Alabama Highway 20, specifically near the 7-mile marker, which is situated around 11 miles to the west of Florence.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Joshua D. Strozier. He was operating a pickup truck when it collided head-on with another vehicle. Authorities have noted that Strozier was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol Division of ALEA is actively conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
