Two individuals apprehended after search warrant executed in Lawrence County last week

Following the execution of a search warrant in Lawrence County last week, two individuals from Summertown were taken into custody. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrived at a property on Holloway Street on April 9th to carry out the search warrant. Upon arrival, Samuel Hargrove cooperated and was detained immediately. Thomas Hargrove was also present at the location and both individuals were informed of their Miranda rights.

During the search, Samuel disclosed the presence of fentanyl in the house and assisted investigators in locating it. Approximately 6 grams of powdered fentanyl were uncovered, along with multiple plastic baggies containing residue. In Thomas’ room, a single bag of a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine was found in plain view, along with a digital scale on the nightstand. Moreover, additional fentanyl residue was discovered on a Pokemon card and digital scale within the residence.

Both Samuel and Thomas were arrested for possession of Schedule II substances with intent to sell, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Samuel had outstanding warrants from both Lawrence and Giles counties.
