On Friday, February 28th, the Lawrenceburg Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a report of a stolen trailer located at O’Rielly’s Auto Parts in Summertown. Authorities had previously issued a Be On the Look Out (BOLO) alert from Hardin County regarding the missing trailer, and it was soon spotted in Summertown. When the first law enforcement units arrived at the scene, they made contact with the individual driving the vehicle towing the trailer. The driver claimed he had discovered the trailer abandoned on the roadside and decided to take it.
However, the situation escalated quickly as the man was informed he was being placed under arrest for possession of stolen property. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Lawrence County Jail, where he faced charges of possession of stolen property, with a bond set at $20,000. As additional units arrived to assist with the situation involving the trailer, officers noticed a woman sitting on the curb nearby, who was also connected to the stolen property case.
As investigators approached her for questioning, the woman exhibited signs of agitation and aggression. Law enforcement informed her that if she did not cooperate, they would have to take further measures. During the search conducted by the investigators, they discovered a pill bottle containing 0.5 grams of fentanyl, 6.5 Xanax pills, and 3.5 grams of a white crystalline substance. Despite her continued resistance, the woman was ultimately subdued and taken into custody, being transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center for processing.
