A tragic accident unfolded on Sunday night on College Street, specifically in front of the former Wilson Food Center grocery store, resulting in the loss of two lives. The incident, which took place around 9:45 p.m., involved a motorcycle and another vehicle. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Unfortunately, the female driver of the vehicle succumbed to her injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, the male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Lauderdale County Coroner Kim Jones. As of now, authorities have not disclosed any additional information, including the identities of the deceased, as they await notification of the victims’ families.
