Two Minors from Florence Arrested on Charges in Tennessee and Alabama

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, law enforcement in Florence responded to a report regarding a stolen vehicle in the vicinity of Creekside Apartments located on Roberts Lane. In a related incident on the same day, officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Maple Avenue, where they investigated a car burglary that resulted in the theft of a firearm.

Later that afternoon, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department in Tennessee successfully located the stolen vehicle, which was found occupied by two minors from Florence. In addition to the vehicle, deputies discovered the stolen handgun along with various personal items belonging to other victims inside the car. The two teenagers were subsequently taken into custody and are now facing charges in Tennessee, as well as additional offenses related to the incident in Alabama.

It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. In light of these events, the Florence Police Department is urging residents to ensure their vehicles are locked and to remove any valuables, particularly firearms, to prevent similar incidents in the future.
