UNA Launches “Ghouls and Guidelines: Safe Sips” Initiative

In a proactive initiative aimed at fostering a safer campus environment, the University Health and Well-Being department has joined forces with Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of North Alabama. Their collaborative effort seeks to equip students with essential knowledge and skills to make informed decisions regarding alcohol consumption, including the option to abstain altogether.

The centerpiece of this initiative is an alcohol awareness program titled “Ghouls and Guidelines: Safe Sips.” This program is designed to provide students with both foundational knowledge and practical experience related to alcohol use. Participants will engage in a variety of interactive activities that not only educate them about the resources available on campus and in the surrounding community but also highlight national support systems.

Through these engaging sessions, students will gain valuable insights into making healthier choices, thereby promoting a culture of responsibility and safety within the university community. The program aims to empower students to navigate social situations involving alcohol with confidence and awareness.
