Dement Construction Company has announced an upcoming road closure on Lawrenceburg Highway as part of a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) initiative, designated as project CNZ019, located in Maury County. The closure will specifically affect the area where the highway crosses over the Tennessee Southern Railroad.
To facilitate this construction, detour signs will be strategically placed in accordance with a traffic control plan that has received approval from TDOT engineers. This plan aims to prioritize the safety of both motorists and the construction crews tasked with building the new bridge and roadway.
Dement Construction extends its apologies for any inconvenience this may cause to the public. However, the detour is deemed essential for the successful execution of the project as outlined. The affected section of Lawrenceburg Highway is expected to remain closed until May 31, 2026, with the closure anticipated to commence on Thursday, June 19, 2025, contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
