The second annual FIRE Week at UT Southern proved to be an extraordinary triumph, uniting Firehawks from across the globe in a collective effort to champion the university’s mission. The event set an ambitious target of 500 donations, a goal that was not only met but nearly doubled throughout the week-long celebration of generosity and school pride. This remarkable turnout highlighted an impressive level of engagement from both the campus community and supporters beyond its borders.
In total, the university successfully raised over $67,000, with contributions exceeding 1,000 gifts. Notably, more than 60 donations came from individuals outside the United States, showcasing the widespread support for UT Southern. Additionally, over 50 different funds across the campus received backing, and a matching gift of $3,000 was fulfilled to bolster academic programs. Each contribution made during FIRE Week plays a vital role in enhancing students’ learning experiences, development, and overall success.
