On Saturday, authorities appealed to the community for assistance in finding a vehicle linked to a hit-and-run incident that tragically resulted in the death of a pedestrian in Loretto. By Saturday afternoon, officials announced that both the vehicle and its driver had been identified and located. The unfortunate event occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on U.S. Highway 43, close to Smith Circle, where the pedestrian was struck.
