Waynesboro Police Announce End of 64 Campaign

Over the Independence Day weekend, the Waynesboro Police Department has teamed up with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office to launch the “No More on 64” campaign. Running until July 7th, this initiative aims to bolster enforcement measures along the 404-mile stretch of US Highway 64 from Memphis to the North Carolina border.

During this 64-hour enforcement period, law enforcement officers statewide, including those from the Waynesboro Police Department, will intensify traffic patrols along Highway 64. The primary goal is to enhance awareness and curb traffic-related fatalities during the holiday weekend.

By joining forces with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, the Waynesboro Police Department is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of motorists traveling along this extensive highway route. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to promoting safe driving practices and reducing accidents on our roadways.
