Severe weather conditions have prompted the closure of several schools and offices in Lawrence County, Tennessee, and surrounding areas. Lawrence County, Lewis County, Marshall County, Wayne County, Bedford County, Maury County, and Giles County schools will all be closed on Wednesday. Additionally, Florence City Schools, Colbert County Schools, Lauderdale County Schools, and Muscle Shoals City Schools in Alabama will also be closed on Wednesday.
In Tennessee, the closures extend to various government offices and city halls. Waynesboro City Hall will open at 10 am, while Maury County, Lawrenceburg, Loretto, and Ethridge city offices will remain closed. The Lawrence County Courthouse will also be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, with rescheduled court dates to be announced later.
The South-Central Human Resources Agency offices and centers will be closed, and garbage cart pick-up in Lawrenceburg has been postponed for Wednesday. The Lawrence County Senior Center, as well as several churches and transportation services, will also be affected by the closures.
