On September 6, the Noah’s Ark Widows Ministry marked a significant milestone, celebrating 15 years of dedicated service and community support. Established in 2010, this organization was created with the mission of offering companionship and assistance to widows in the local area. Over the years, the ministry has grown to include 139 members and has expanded its outreach through various initiatives.
Among its notable contributions, the group operates a Baby Tent at the Middle Tennessee District Fair, providing a welcoming space for parents to care for their infants in comfort. Additionally, the ministry has launched a Hikers Ministry that engages with individuals on the Appalachian Trail, promoting both physical activity and community bonding. Another heartfelt initiative is their Christmas card ministry, which brings joy to nursing home residents during the holiday season.
In addition to these programs, the Noah’s Ark Widows Ministry actively supports several local charities, further extending its impact within the community. Regular meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the Ethridge First Baptist Church, where members gather to connect and plan future activities.
