Severe winter weather has led to a tragic toll in Tennessee, with 17 reported deaths in the past few days. Two of these fatalities occurred in Marshall County, where initial reports suggest hypothermia may have been the cause. One of the incidents involved a man in his 60s whose vehicle became stuck near Springdale Road and Earl Tweedie Road, leading to an overturn and potential hypothermia as water filled the car. Another case involved a 25-year-old man found inside a mobile home on Nashville Highway, with officials noting ice-covered walls within the residence. Middle Tennessee alone accounted for five of the 17 statewide deaths.
