Woman in Madison, Alabama Taken into Custody Following August 24 Shooting Incident

Last week, law enforcement officials in Limestone County, Alabama, apprehended an individual linked to a shooting incident that took place in Tanner on August 24. The event resulted in one individual suffering from a gunshot wound, necessitating airlift transport for urgent medical care.

As detectives delved into the case, they were able to pinpoint the suspect as 40-year-old Lakeshia Renee Peoples, a resident of Madison, Alabama. Following the investigation, Peoples was taken into custody and now faces charges of first-degree assault. She has been processed and is currently held at the Limestone County Jail, where she will remain until her court appearance.
