Last week, a state-of-the-art x-ray machine was installed at the Lawrence County Courthouse to scan bags, packages, and other items brought in by visitors. The previous machine, which had been in use, had stopped working, prompting the need for a replacement. The new x-ray machine was made possible through a generous Courtroom Security Grant of nearly $32,000 from the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts. This upgraded security measure aims to enhance safety and efficiency within the courthouse premises, ensuring a secure environment for all individuals entering the facility. The installation of the new x-ray machine signifies a proactive step towards maintaining a secure and protected courthouse setting for both staff and visitors alike.
