In honor of Memorial Day, all Lawrence County government offices, including the Solid Waste department, will be closed on Monday, May 27th. This closure is part of the county’s observance of the national holiday dedicated to honoring and remembering the sacrifices made by the men and women of the armed forces. Residents and employees are advised to plan accordingly, as services provided by these offices will resume on the following business day. Memorial Day serves as a time for reflection and gratitude for the dedication and service of those who have served in the military, and the closure of government offices is a symbolic gesture of respect for their contributions to our nation.
