Individual Taken into Custody and Charged with Criminal Homicide in Giles County

On November 26th, at approximately 12:51 PM, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office received a report concerning a potential deceased individual located on Ichabod Lane in Giles County. Upon arrival, law enforcement personnel discovered a white male, later identified as Darren Cody Gambrel, lying lifeless next to a pole barn. The circumstances surrounding his death suggested that he had likely been stabbed and subsequently placed beside the barn after his demise.

Following an extensive investigation involving multiple agencies, authorities gathered sufficient evidence to apprehend Adam Arthur Rosenthal. He faces serious charges, including criminal homicide, aggravated assault resulting in death, and tampering with evidence. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Rosenthal was previously reported missing from Gainesville, Florida, where he had been a candidate for mayor at the time of his disappearance. Furthermore, it has come to light that he is also wanted for questioning regarding serious offenses in other states.

The investigation remains active as authorities continue to piece together the details surrounding this case. Currently, Rosenthal is being held at the Giles County Jail without the possibility of bond. The Giles County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to all the agencies that contributed to the investigation, including Giles County EMS, the Pulaski Police Department, Giles EMA, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and the investigators from the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
