J. E. Bonee, 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. J. E. was a dedicated member of the Lawrenceburg community, having owned and operated Lino Litho Printers and served as a Graphic Arts Educator in the Lawrence County School System. He was a proud veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. J. E. was a past member of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club and a devoted member of Harmony Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed Titans football, gardening, and fishing.
J. E. Bonee is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sue Bonee; two daughters, Angie Bonee and Susanne Staggs (Kevin); one son, Jason Bonee (Stephanie); one brother, Garry Bonee (Lee); ten grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Macie Williams Bonee, and one grandson, Christian Hunter Bonee.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025, with interment to follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
