On February 14, 2025, the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club had the honor of hosting Rotary District 6760 Foundation Chair Eddie Allred and District Governor Darrell Ailshie. Their visit was marked by the presentation of several prestigious awards, including Multiple Paul Harris Fellow recognitions and a Major Donor award, which were bestowed upon three dedicated members of the Lawrenceburg Rotary community.
Tad Keaton was celebrated for his exceptional commitment to The Rotary Foundation, receiving a fourth-level Paul Harris Fellow award. Meanwhile, Ed Trimmer was recognized with a fifth-level Paul Harris Fellow award, highlighting his significant contributions. Additionally, Rotarian Heath Hill was acknowledged as a Rotary Foundation Major Donor, a distinction reserved for those who have generously contributed $10,000 or more to the Foundation.
During the ceremony, PDG Eddie expressed his gratitude to the honorees for their unwavering support of the Foundation’s mission. District Governor Darrell Ailshie took the opportunity to present the award pins and other recognition materials, underscoring the importance of their contributions. The Rotary Foundation serves as the charitable arm of Rotary International, focusing on critical global issues such as the eradication of polio, the provision of clean drinking water in developing nations, the fight against hunger, and the promotion of peace worldwide.
To clarify the significance of the awards, a Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who has made a contribution of $1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation, either personally or in someone else’s name. The Major Donor designation recognizes those who have made even greater financial commitments, contributing $10,000 or more. This event not only celebrated individual achievements but also reinforced the collective impact of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club in advancing the Foundation’s noble goals.
