Marie Antoinette Cooper Burbank, 89, of Greenhill, AL, passed away at her home on April 28, 2025. Marie was a devoted homemaker and a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a native of Boston, MA and a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Loretto, TN.
Marie is survived by her sons Bobby Burbank, Jr. (Valerie) and Morris Burbank (Le’Anne), daughters Rose Garrison (Keith), Vicky Purser (Dennis), and Sharon McDaniel, and her brother Johnny Cooper. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Charles Cooper and Annette Veronica Brady Cooper, her husband Bobby William Burbank, Sr., her son David Burbank, sisters Pat Hughes and Annette Murphy, and great-grandchild Brantley Burbank.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Travis Hunt and Rev. Delly Mutajuka officiating. Burial will follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Burbank, Will Burbank, Jase Peck, Pastor Travis Hunt, Jerry Carroll, and Tyler Bretherick, with Mike Desruisseaux serving as an honorary pallbearer.
The family extends their gratitude to Amedysis Hospice Nurses Lana and Nina, as well as Gina Brewer and the staff at St. Florian Clinic.
