Road construction will not hinder motorists as they journey through Tennessee’s highways this Memorial Day weekend. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced the suspension of all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes. This suspension will commence at noon on Friday, May 24, and will last until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28. The decision aims to ensure maximum roadway capacity for the anticipated influx of travelers in the state during this holiday weekend.
