A tragic house fire in Limestone County has claimed the life of one individual, as confirmed by Coroner Mike West. The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Raymon Lee Morgan, a resident of Athens. The incident occurred late Sunday night, with emergency services receiving reports of the fire on Elk River Mills Road at approximately 11:20 PM. In addition to the fatality, two other individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Authorities from the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, along with the State Fire Marshal, are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire. At this moment, no additional information has been released.
