Unemployment Rate in State Approaching All-Time Low

In February, Tennessee saw a significant drop in its unemployment rate, reaching a near record-low level. According to data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the state’s new seasonally adjusted rate for the month stood at 3.3%, showing a slight decrease from the revised rate in January.

The all-time low seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for Tennessee is 3.1%, which was previously recorded during the months of April, May, and June in 2023. This recent decline in the unemployment rate reflects positive trends in the state’s labor market, indicating potential improvements in job opportunities and economic stability for residents.
