The 29th Annual Santa for Seniors Christmas drive is currently in full swing, and organizers are calling for additional contributions to fulfill the needs of this year’s applicants. This initiative aims to provide essential items and a touch of holiday spirit to as many as 650 elderly, disabled, and homebound residents of Lawrence County each year.
To achieve this goal, the program is seeking a variety of donations, including non-perishable food items, personal care products, adult diapers, and wipes. Additionally, they are looking for warm items such as blankets, throws, heaters, coats, jackets, gloves, and toboggans. Other essential supplies like toilet paper and paper towels are also greatly appreciated.
The deadline for submitting donations is set for Monday, December 15. Contributions can be dropped off during regular business hours at either WLX or the Lawrence County Advocate. For further information, interested individuals can visit the Santa for Seniors Facebook page to learn more about how they can help.
