James Ray Steward, 57, of Florence, AL, passed away on May 13, 2026. A native of Chicago, IL, James worked as a stocker at Wal-Mart and was a dedicated member of the First Assembly of God on Helton Drive in Florence.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Hunt Steward, and his son, Corey Hunt. James was preceded in death by his parents, William Alvin Steward and Edna Eulene Steward.
A memorial service for James will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Greenhill Funeral Home.
