This weekend, the 2024 Mule Day Parade is set to take place, starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6th. The parade will follow its usual route, commencing at the intersection of Carmack Blvd. & South Main Street and heading north until it reaches West 7th Street. At West 7th Street, the parade will turn left and continue westbound until it concludes at Academy Lane.
To accommodate the event, the parade staging area from Garden Street at West 8th Street to Carmack Blvd at Polk Street will be closed from 9:00 AM on Saturday until after the parade. Additionally, the remaining section of the parade route, from West 7th Street at Academy Lane, will be closed from 10:00 AM on Saturday until after the parade. Downtown traffic will be impacted as early as 8:30 AM, so drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly.
