Another Suspect Apprehended in 2021 Murder Investigation

In a significant development in the 2021 murder case of Sharon Gillespie, a second arrest has been made. Gillespie tragically lost her life on the evening of April 13th, 2021, in a shooting incident outside her workplace, The Summit of Lawrenceburg.

On May 31st, the Lawrence County Grand Jury took action by issuing indictments against Victoria Cash, a 40-year-old resident of Columbia. Cash faces charges including first-degree murder, criminal homicide, attempted especially aggravated robbery, and criminal conspiracy to sell Schedule II narcotics.

Following the issuance of the indictments, Cash was apprehended without any resistance. She is currently being held at the Lawrence County Jail on a substantial $3,000,000 bond. Cash awaits arraignment in the Lawrence County Circuit Court as the legal process unfolds.

The investigation into this case was diligently carried out by LPD detectives in collaboration with special agents from the Office of Homeland Security. Notably, Brandon M. Waire, a 44-year-old from Columbia, TN, was arrested in 2022 and is presently awaiting trial in connection to the same case.
