In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 8th, a significant fire erupted at a home located on South Branch Road. The incident was first reported when a fire alarm company notified dispatch about an alarm activation. Responding promptly, the Ethridge Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. However, it was the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that arrived first, finding the residence completely engulfed in flames.
Recognizing the severity of the situation, additional firefighting units were called in to provide support. In total, more than 30,000 gallons of water were utilized in the effort to bring the blaze under control. The Ethridge Fire Department expressed its sincere appreciation to all the units and responders who contributed to the firefighting operation, highlighting the collaborative effort required to manage such a challenging incident.
