A man has been charged in connection with an alleged assault on two women at a Whataburger located on Florence Boulevard, and a trial date has now been established in Lauderdale County Circuit Court. The incident reportedly took place on January 25, 2025, when 27-year-old Adonnis O’Brian Bailey is said to have followed the women into the restroom of the restaurant, where he attempted to forcibly remove their clothing. Fortunately, the women were able to resist his advances and managed to escape the situation.
Following their escape, Bailey was detained at the scene until law enforcement officers arrived. He was subsequently arrested and is facing charges of first-degree sexual abuse. According to court officials, his trial is set to commence on December 15, 2025. Records indicate that Bailey does not have a permanent residence, as he is listed as homeless. He is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
