During its meeting on September 12, 2025, the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club received the esteemed 2025 Rotary Club Excellence Award. This honor was presented to Past President John Johnstone by Darrell Ailshie, who previously served as District Governor. Eddie Allred, another Past District Governor, took the opportunity to highlight the importance of the Club Excellence Award, which is bestowed upon clubs that excel in various key areas. These areas include supporting the Rotary Foundation, nurturing leadership, and advancing the Rotary mission of “Service Above Self.”
In a notable achievement, only 22 out of 65 clubs in the western region of Tennessee’s District 6760 were recognized with this award in 2025. Leaders of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club expressed their appreciation for this acknowledgment and reiterated their dedication to serving the community of Lawrence County, as well as their commitment to international service initiatives. The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club convenes weekly at Lawrenceburg Rotary Park and is affiliated with Rotary International, a global organization comprising 1.2 million members who strive to create meaningful change both locally and worldwide.
