On Friday evening at approximately 8:30 PM, emergency responders from Lawrence County Fire & Rescue were dispatched to a serious accident on Buffalo Road, close to the intersection with Valley Road. The incident resulted in critical injuries for two individuals involved in the crash. Initial reports from the scene indicated that one of the vehicles had ignited, and both occupants were trapped inside their respective cars.
Fortunately, by the time the emergency crews arrived, the fire had already been put out. First responders worked quickly to extricate the victims from the wreckage. Following their removal, they received immediate medical attention from Lawrence County EMS. Due to the severity of their injuries, both individuals were subsequently airlifted to Level 1 trauma centers for further treatment.
In addition to the Lawrence County Fire & Rescue units, the Lawrenceburg Fire Department also responded to the scene, along with personnel from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
