Johnny Dickey, 85, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on April 1st, 2025, at his home. Born on December 23rd, 1939, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Johnny was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as riding his four-wheeler, gardening, and tending to cows. His love for family was evident in his joy for family gatherings.
A visitation will be held on April 4th, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Another visitation will take place on April 5th, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Piece Funeral Home. Johnny will be laid to rest at Abernathy Dickey Cemetery in Pulaski, TN.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Sue Owen Dickey, his sons Waylon Dean (Danni) Dickey and Stephen Owen (Kimberly) Dickey, and his grandchildren Caleb Bass, Hunter Dean, Kaylyn Elise, Katie Elizabeth, and Kynlee Grace Dickey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Franklin Cecil Dickey and Ura Dean Irwin Dickey, and his sister, Sarah Lee Walker.
Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements for Johnny Dickey. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
